Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I report anonymously?

Yes, completely. Your name, phone number and e-mail are not required. In that case we cannot ask you for further details or tell you what happens next with the report, but we do record it and act on it.

Who reads my report?

Your report is read by a trained member of the Institute’s professional team. It is not read by an automated system, and neither your school nor other users of the platform can see it.

What if I am reporting on someone else’s behalf?

That is fine, and very common. In the form, select that you are a witness or a friend. You do not need to have every detail — what you know is enough.

How long do I wait for an answer?

If you left a contact, we get back to you within 48 hours on working days. The platform is not an emergency service — in an emergency call 122 or 112.

Will the person I report know that I reported them?

Not from us. We do not disclose your name to the person you are reporting. If the case is referred to a school or to the police, we tell you about every step in advance — provided you left us a contact.

Which evidence is useful?

A screenshot showing the profile name, the text of the message and the date; a link to the post or the profile; a screen recording of the conversation. Keep the original on your own phone as well — do not delete it after reporting.

Can I report violence that happened a long time ago?

Yes. Older reports are useful both for acting on the case and for understanding patterns of violence. In the form, enter an approximate date or write that you do not remember exactly.

Can a report be sent from a phone?

Yes, the form works on a phone and you can attach a screenshot straight from your gallery.

Cannot find the answer to your question?

Write to us through the contact page. To report violence use the reporting form — it goes straight to the professional team.
